Home grown Pacific islands financial institution Bank South Pacific has launched an ‘SMS Banking Service’ allowing customers to make credit card repayments from their respective bank accounts via mobile phones. The service was launched this week in Fiji.<!--more-->
Calling it a milestone in the history of banking services in the country, BSP’s Kevin McCarthy said the initiative was an appreciation of BSPs credit card customer loyalty.
The new service allows customers to pay as they go without having to wait until the end of the month for a bank statement.
The Papua New Guinea headquartered bank has launched several innovative services in the Pacific islands countries that it operates in.
