The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat is calling applications for the position of Trade Commissioner, Pacific Islands Trade &amp; Invest based in Sydney.<!--more-->

<a href=""><img class=" size-full wp-image-7267 alignleft" src="" alt="rsz_recruitment" width="138" height="104" /></a>The Trade Commissioner will be accountable to the Secretary General through the Director, Economic Governance Programme. Aimed at increasing Pacific Islands’ exports and driving investments into Pacific Islands, the successful candidate is to provide appropriate market support to Forum Island Members/Observers and their private sectors via a cost efficient and targeted client driven service in Australia.

Applicants should have an appropriate Degree (e.g. in Business Studies, Business Administration, Management or International Marketing) and a minimum 10 years demonstrated experience in the field of international marketing.

Applicants will have a proven track record in export market development. They must possess demonstrated experience and success in international trade and investment, international business and enterprise development, with strong strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership ability. Knowledge of Australia private sector would be desirable.

To be eligible for this position, the applicant must be a national of a Forum member country: Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
