The event, which will be held at the national University of Samoa, will also have a workshop aimed at establishing a multi-country study on international indigenous, family and community-based entrepreneurship.
Dr Berno co-wrote the award winning cookbook Me’a Kai: The Food and Flavours of the South Pacific along with Chef Robert Oliver. As reported in Pacific Periscope a few weeks ago, the tome was named “Best Book of the Year in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards” in Paris. Pacific Islands Trade & Invest is proud to have been associated with the book project in its early stages.
Dr Berno, who now works as planning director at New Zealand’s Lincoln University, will participate at the Samoa event along with Professor Brendan Gray, who heads the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Otago, New Zealand.
