This is Essar Projects’ sixth international contract this year and its second in Papua New Guinea, where it had previously built an airport for Exxon Mobil. Its latest project is to design and build a mixed-use development containing the Governor’s Office, a residential building for diplomats, ministers and professionals.
Essar Projects would design, construct and commission the proposed mixed use development project, including construction of an office complex. The project would be completed in 22 months. Prime Minister of PNG Peter Charles Paire O'Neill will inaugurate the construction of the project this month.
Alwyn Bowden Essar Projects President & CEO said: “This is another step forward for Essar Projects in the region, underpinning our strategy to secure strong projects in our core sectors and to deliver real long term value to our key customers.”
With this $50million project, the company’s order book has increased to more than $4billion, the company has said in a statement.
