<b>Pacific Islands Women in Leadership Program</b>

The Hawai’i based East-West Center is accepting applications for the second cohort of the Pacific Islands Women in Leadership Program (WIL).<!--more--> Up to 12 participants will be selected for the program, which will take place at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawai’i from October 6-25, 2014.

The Pacific Islands Women in Leadership Program (WIL) has two main outcomes:  1) the development of a network of women leaders working on Pacific women's empowerment issues and connected to supportive institutions, and 2) the development of applied leadership projects designed within and for specific communities.

This program is intended for early- to mid-career professionals with at least five (5) years of work experience and a desire to affect positive regional change on gender issues. Applicants from all walks of life are encouraged to apply (government, business, environment, NGOs, health, media, agriculture, education and others).

Citizens of the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu can apply.
