More than 1000 TIAS members as well as Government officials and ministers are expected to attend the event. TIAS members are from the marine, hospitality, tourism, transportation, real estate, food service and general trade sectors, besides others.

PT&I believes this is an excellent opportunity to expand the export footprint of Pacific Island products and services in the fast growing Asian region. Singapore is a great trading and logistic hub and a gateway to many Asian markets. This is a special year for Singapore as it is celebrating its 50th anniversary as an Independent country.

At the convention, the Pacific Islands will be introduced to Singapore businesspeople and the region’s potential for trade and investment will be showcased with presentations. A space for exhibiting Pacific Island products will also be set up at the venue. A day of B2B/ business matching meetings will be facilitated for Pacific Island businesses attending. There will also be other official as well as social engagements.

Among the expected outcomes are: Exposure for Pacific Island products and services in Singapore and Asia through meeting members and B2B contacts of TIAS; Media coverage about Pacific Island and Pacific Island products and services; Potential export/distribution/marketing deals and other information/ contacts that may lead to exploring new business opportunities.
