Pacific Islands Centre, Pacific Islands Trade & Invest (PT&I) network’s Japan offices coordinated the participation of Pacific Island companies and products. Products displayed were from Fiji, Tonga and Marshall Islands private enterprises as well as from Japanese importers who displayed products from Kiribati, Tuvalu, Samoa, Tonga, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. The effort was made possible thanks to cooperation with several Pacific Island Embassies.

Each exhibitor from Pacific Island countries proudly displayed their highly valuable products to Japanese importers and distributors who all showed great interest, Pacific Islands Centre Promotion Coordinator Reiko Takada told Pacific Periscope.

“Our Pacific Island exhibitors were all fully satisfied with the exhibition and the resulting business negotiations with many Japanese companies. We will carefully follow up on each business meeting until successful contracts are agreed upon,” Ms Takada said.
