Tim Martin joins Pacific Islands & Trade Invest in Sydney
Pacific Island Trade & Invest’s Sydney office has a new team member. Tim Martin has joined as Investment Analyst.Tim is a graduate of the University of Technology, Sydney, with a Bachelors degree in Tourism Management and a Master of International Relations from Macquarie University.<!--more-->
He has 10 years experience in marketing, aviation, tourism development and investment throughout the Asia Pacific region. Earlier, he has spent more than two years working for the International Finance Corporation, the private sector development arm of the World Bank Group as a tourism program analyst in the South Pacific.
During that time, Tim completed a number of Tourism sector diagnostic projects and worked closely with the private and public sectors on tourism development and investment generation projects. He was also in charge of producing high-level analysis and assessment of the tourism investment and development situation across 10 different Pacific Island nations and Timor-Leste, while working closely with government clients, development partners and in-country colleagues.
Tim also has a significant consulting portfolio, having most recently worked on a European Commission-funded project assessing the viability of establishing a US$100 million dollar tourism investment vehicle in the South Pacific.
Besides that, he has worked under AusAID funded and NGO projects in Cambodia, including community based tourism programmes, training needs assessments and education projects.
