Unique opportunity for innovative Pacific Island businesses
The Australian Government recently launched the Frontier Innovators programme at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade?s innovationXchange in Canberra. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop MP, announced the launch.<!--more--><img class="size-medium wp-image-1718 alignleft" src="https://pacificperiscope.files.wordpress.com/2017/08/rsz_innovation-xchange-international-reference-group-launch-messages.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="169" />The Frontier Innovators programme is looking for innovative businesses that are making an impact in the Asia-Pacific region. The programme will select up to 15 businesses from across the region, elevate their work, and help them to grow. Winning businesses will receive:
<li>Funding: A grant up to AU$100,000 to support their growth</li>
<li>Support: Taking part in a three to six-month tailored support programme designed to build key capabilities and provide access to unique opportunities for growth</li>
<li>Access: Relevant advisors, potential partners and investors will work with winning business to strengthen their business and impact models, and prepare them for growth and investment.</li>

Applications for the Frontier Innovators programme are now open, and will close on September 30 2017.
