The Business Intel Survey (BIS) provides gauges of activity across the Pacific Islands and focuses on key economic themes that are of interest to Pacific businesses including:

  • Previous experience and expectations for business activity/production

  • Previous experience and expectations for employment and investment

  • Information on pricing pressures and factors holding firms back

The aim of the survey is to help inform businesses and policy makers on economic trends by providing timely gauges of economic momentum and expectations for growth, employment and investment going forward.

The survey contains a concurrent group of questions as well as forward looking ones.  This gives the survey insights into both current economic momentum, and expectations for the near future.

The BIS is a partnership between PTI and Bagrie Economics.
