Expressions of Interest for Pacific Trade delegation to GC2018 invited

Expressions of Interest are invited from New Zealand and Pacific Island based businesses to attend a Pacific focused business mission to Trade 2018, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, April 12-16, 2018. The mission will take part in the Pacific component of Trade 2018 – the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Trade and Investment Programme.

Trade 2018 is organised by the Queensland Government in association with the Australian Government timed for the 2018 GC Commonwealth Games.  The business programme provides an opportunity to meet and build new relationships, strengthen ties and explore new opportunities.  Events are scheduled for the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns (refer to Pacific Periscope December 5 edition for more info).

Led by the Pacific Chairs Organisation (Auckland); Pacific Trade Invest New Zealand (PTI NZ) and Pacific Cooperation Foundation (PCF) the Trade Mission is aimed at stakeholders representing a range of Pacific Island businesses from Commonwealth countries, representatives of business councils and the private sector.

Delegates will need to make their own travel arrangements for flights, taxes and transfers through New Zealand Olympic Travel who will provide a full package.

The package for two costs $4,000 and covers four-night accommodation at the QT Gold Coast Hotel. ANZ New Zealand House is the base for all New Zealand supporters, VIPs and Guests of the Games. Buffet Breakfast for two, Mission networking event on Thursday April 12 and Tickets for two at Commonwealth Games Sevens Events, Booking fees and assistance at QT Gold Coast Hotel.  Flight costs are additional.

The programme is subject to change and availability and EOIs are not binding, however, please forward Expressions of Interest ASAP as a clear commitment is required by 26 February 2018.

13 April-Gold Coast- Major Event Capability Business Forum (11.00am – 3 pm) – Businesses seeking to participate in major events.

14 April – Gold Coast -Partnering the Pacific (7am-9am) – PIC and Commonwealth Business Leaders

Please note it is recommended those wishing to attend business events, make their own arrangements.
