Fiji’s VaiWai premium artesian water at AFS

Fiji’s Pleass Global has been bottling water since 1998, beginning with refillable water for coolers. About a decade later the company expanded water bottling from refillable water cooler bottles into PET small sizes of bottled water.

Cate Pleass, Pleass Beverages Marketing Director at the company’s bottling plant in Fiji.

Having started with 600ml and 1.5L bottles the range now includes dozens of bottles and package sizes including the popular sizes of 110ml cups and bottles of 250ml, 350ml, 600ml, 1.0L, 1.5L and 3.0L. Over all these years, Pleass Global has grown impressively with well-recognised bottled water brands both in the Fijian and international markets.

The company’s two main brands of bottled water are VaiWai Premium Natural Artesian Water and Aquasafe Natural Artesian Water.

Pleass Global is participating in the Auckland Food Show 2017 and will be at the Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) New Zealand hosted Pacific Hub stand. The show at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland’s Greenlane runs between July 27 and July 30.

“Pleass Global is attending the trade event hoping to meet with partners and customers for our premium natural artesian water VaiWai,” Cate Pleass, Pleass Beverages Marketing Director told Pacific Periscope. “This is the first time we will attend this show and we are very excited to be part of it.”

Ms Pleass said the company will provide visitors with sampling opportunities during the show.

Pleass Global has been a participant in the PTI NZ Pacific Path to Market programme. Path to Market is designed to help potential exporters from the Pacific Islands gain a better understanding of the New Zealand market. It is an export capability programme combining a range of export facilitation services to help export ready and export capable businesses to enter New Zealand.

The programme follows a series of methodical steps to get into the New Zealand market, starting with the workshops followed by an exploratory trade mission to New Zealand to apply their learnings, trial their products and packaging and introduce exporters to potential buyers.

Pleass Global is an environmentally conscious enterprise and has developed a Sustainability Action Plan listing a number of actions that will help reduce its ecological footprint. It is organised around principles of sustainability combining environmental and social principles.

“Pleass Global is on the verge of opening a world class bottling facility at our source in Fiji. The new plant provides huge increases in capacity and is purpose built to deliver international standard bottled water with latest technologies and equipment,” Ms Pleass said.

Cate Pleass will represent the company at the Auckland Food Show and will be available to meet with customers and visitors at the Pleass global booth at the PTI Pacific Hub stand.
