Five days that help Pacific products beat a path to NZ

The five-day Path to Market Auckland 2019 Trade Mission is the most important component of the PTI NZ Path to Market programme that introduces Pacific Island products and exporters to New Zealand customers, importers and distributors. The PTI NZ Path to Market programme is a structured approach to understanding and entering the New Zealand market. It is designed to help exporters from the Pacific Islands gain a better understanding of the New Zealand market. It is an export capability building programme combining a range of export facilitation services to help export ready and export capable businesses to enter New Zealand.

The programme incorporates multiple steps starting with the Pacific Island based capacity building workshop; linking to local Economic Development Agency (EDA) partners and identification and selection of potential export companies for a trade mission to New Zealand, Market testing at a trade show in New Zealand (such as the forthcoming Path to Market Auckland 2019 event), Gap Analysis workshop and business-to-business meetings (also part of the Path to Market Auckland 2019 event).

More than 700 participants have been through the PTI NZ Path to Market programme that has been praised by the International Trade Centre. “In our Benchmarking Audit in 2017 the International Trade Centre opined Path to Market as World Best Practice for Programmes of its type,” PTI NZ Trade & Investment Commissioner Michael Greenslade says.

The participating companies and products will be on public display and available for purchase at The Cloud in downtown Auckland on Saturday 6 April.

The five-day PTI NZ Path to Market Auckland 2019 is billed to be the biggest Pacific Island trade mission of its kind to New Zealand, with more than forty companies from al over the Pacific Islands region participating.
