Job Vacancies at PTI NZ : We are looking for Communications Officer & Trade Development Manager

Can you help us in dealing with internal and external communication? We are in search of a Communications Officer with incredible skills of marketing and communication. Candidate should be able to develop friendly relations within team and make weekly plan for dividing the work load within teams. Also, call for a weekly meeting with acting trade commissioner. Moreover, make a meeting with Trade Development Manager for periscope publication once a week. Communications Officer must be capable of holding a meeting with Investment Manager to bring investment opportunities for the company. Encourage the communication campaign for PTI that might include PR, website advertisements, print, radio and TV programs. Furthermore, he must possess the ability to leverage internal success stories to external network to promote PTI New Zealand, its staff, client companies, Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS) and stakeholder donors in a good way. Must develop a communication crisis plan and ensure PTI protocol is observed and all its advertisements, press releases, journals, etc. are well coordinated and PTI brand/logo and all communications are guarded. Candidate must be responsible for storage of all the written communications. The media database of PTI’s new and existing contacts should be updated regularly. Also, the Candidate would also be responsible for any enquiries generated from the website. The Candidate must participate in the strategic meetings of the Auckland office and would take the operational lead in ICT project in order to get cost savings for them.

Communication officer must possess Leadership qualities. It would be a plus point if he has knowledge of one or more Pacific Island languages. Candidate should be the Office Champion for CRM by leading by example and training others where their skill set may not be complete. Also, candidate must have relevant software and internet skills. Publications for PTI would be his responsibility by conducting internal and external interviews and building good stories. Also involved in actively planning for MFAT Annual Funding

Business Intelligence Survey, Annual Report, and Quarterly Trade Winds. Candidate must take total responsibility for 100% delivery of the MFAT contract for the communications team.

Keeping product development goal in mind, Trade Development Manager must lead trade Development Team. Also, the candidate must engage with exporters by different means including capability assessments, workshops or by arranging events/ exhibitions/seminars. Moreover, the candidate must measure the participation of youth and women in businesses. The candidate must be capable to promote trade with Forum Island Countries (FICs). The candidate must also organize incoming Trade Missions including ‘Pasifika’ that takes place in April each year. Moreover, registers customer testimonials and export deals required by funder. Candidate must be able to promote the products on Pacific Hub Website. Candidate must have the ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and to build a positive and friendly environment in the office and making strategic meetings with the Auckland office and with other companies. Candidate must possess good organizational and inter personal skills. Moreover, safe and healthy working environment and proper protocols should be maintained by Candidate. The candidate must have knowledge about ICT and investment sector and a degree up to Master’s Degree Level.
