Etu Tusitala of ELife will display and sell his wild turmeric health drink at the Auckland Food Show next week. ELife will join eight other companies hosted at the Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) New Zealand stand at the Auckland Food Show between July 26 and 29.
Their participation is part of the PTI NZ Path to Market programme that is designed to build export capability in Pacific Island companies to export to New Zealand. Part of the programme is to help these companies participate in trade shows like the Auckland Food Show where the companies can find customers and distributors for their products.
ELife’s Wild Turmeric drink has been sampled and sold in trade shows hosted by PTI NZ in the past couple of years. The drink and other turmeric products are all made in Samoa at E-Life’s factory. The turmeric is grown on the island of Savai’i.
In 2016, the drink was popular at Pasifika practically selling out over the two-day weekend. Building on from that success, the pair relaunched ELife Samoa Wild Turmeric Juice at La Cigale, Auckland’s French Market in Parnell where, again, it received good demand.
The company was started in 2013 after Mr Tusitala came up with a product to help customers with wellness and to try and help relieve minor health complaints.
The drink is BioGro certified organic. The drink has been successfully tested at the Scientific Research Organisation o Samoa (SROS). ELife is a family-owned business by Etu and his wife Elena Tusitala.
