The Solomon Islands Chottu Guadalcanal Coconut Products company slogan is simple. “Pure – Organic – Quality.  When only the best will do.” Chottus Guadalcanal Noni Products are available at the Path to the Pacific Trade Show at The Cloud on April 6.  The business is part of 40+ Pacific Island businesses showcasing their products as part of the Path to Market programme.

Chottu’s sells a range of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), Premium and Crude oil, coconut meal (used as animal feed), coconut soaps, coconut sugar and body scrubs.

They are sold via an order system on their Facebook page –  Chottu’s Guadalcanal Coconut products.

Business owner Jack John Chottu recently changed the company name to Chottu’s Guadalcanal Products.  The business is based in Western Guadalcanal.  It participated in the Solomon Islands Coconut Value Chain Study Report in 2017.  The company was selected as a participant in the report because it uses a “small-scale technology Indian made oil mill for processing the copra.”  The introduction of Indian Tinytech cold mill press allows for good oil quality like Direct Micro Expeller (DME) process which is another method of cold pressing coconut oil.

Pacific Trade Invest New Zealand held a Path to Market workshop in the Solomon Islands in 2018.  Potential exporters or exporters were identified and invited to attend the Auckland programme.  This year PTI NZ will host 5 Solomon Islands businesses as part of a larger 40+ Pacific Islands delegation coming to Auckland on the Path to Market programme from 4-9 April.  They will be part of the one-day Path to the Pacific Trade Show at The Cloud on April 6.
