This year PTI NZ is participating in the Auckland option of Fine Food NZ - New Zealand's number one food service, food retail & hospitality trade event. It's where you'll find the latest in food, drink and equipment.
PTI NZ looks to improve the livelihoods of Pacific Peoples by enabling decent work and economic growth in the Blue Pacific. We do this by creating business growth through exports and focussing on creating commercial opportunities.
A specific tactic we employ is to participate in trade shows which we think will give our clients the best opportunity to promote their products to industry insiders.
Fine Foods NZ is a bi-annual food and beverage trade event. We have participated in this show in previous years and were scheduled to participate in 2020 but this was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic.
This year we will host three companies from across the Blue Pacific: Nishi Trading from Tonga, Fine Foods from Vanuatu and Ashon Ventures from New Zealand but who import products from Fiji.
Nishi Trading Company is one of Tonga’s largest exporters. A family-owned company they have been operating for more than 40 years.
A combination of businesses which began as a commercial farm for exports, Nishi Trading has diversified over the years to include imports and complementary services such as a farming supplies store, a quarry for manufactured and raw construction materials, a pest management service, training center, a foundation for community support and most recently, with an aim to move into value-added pre-packed products.
Nishi Trading Company now boasts an international standard pack house – the first of its kind for Tonga where they process top quality frozen taro, cassava and breadfruit. All these products will be on show this year at our stall at Fine Food NZ Nishi Trading Company will also be showcasing their moringa powder and value-add breadfruit flour.

The company’s slogan is what they live by making sure all their products are naturally made guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Operating for many years in New Zealand as a competitive distribution company with a wide network of suppliers Ashon Ventures has quickly become a well trusted distributor to wholesalers, retailers, corner stores and institutions.
In recent years they have delved into the product development and value-add product scene.
They will be presenting their refined product range, all sourced from Fiji at this year’s Fine Food NZ.
